Seller checks and buyer protection
Exactly what we check, and what we do not.
What we check before a seller can list
- Acle staff review documents the seller uploads: government ID, proof of address and, for businesses, company documents and owners.
- Only sellers approved by staff can publish listings. Approval can be suspended, which removes their listings.
- A diamond certificate is shown as "Verified" only after staff have checked it with the issuing lab. Otherwise details are marked as stated by the seller.
What we do not do
- We do not assay, test or physically inspect items.
- We are not a bank, escrow agent or depository, and we do not hold the gold.
- Shipments are not insured by Acle. A shipment is shown as insured only when the seller's carrier policy has been confirmed.
What buyers receive
- The seller is paid only after you confirm delivery.
- Reporting a problem freezes the seller's payout while staff review it.
- Sellers remain responsible for authenticity, accurate descriptions and legal export of their items.
